I worked on lots of projects with Alan and my best memory of him was during our time in Colorado.

Alan had a favourite bar in Fort Collins and he invited us round for a meal one night.  He was in his element - he knew all the staff, and the staff knew him and his whole family.  He had only been there a couple if weeks.

He insited we try his favourite meals on the menu and asked the staff to serve us their special cheesecake for desert.

For many years after i could take us back to that bar in a moment by saying one word to Alan - Cheesecake.

Everytime I enjoy a Cheesecake in future you will be on my mind Alan.

Such a sad loss of a lovely man taken too early.
